Field: Warm terracotta/brick-red ground filled with an intricate network of delicate scrolling vines, stylized palmettes, and detached blossoms. Visible abrash (organic variation in dye batches) gives the ground horizontal depth and movement. Medallion: A stepped, anchor-pendant central medallion anchored by deep midnight indigo, framing an ivory and soft blush inner star reserve. Corner Spandrels: Complementary ivory/cream corner brackets densely populated with scrolling botanical tracery. Borders: A primary wide border featuring a turtle-palmette and rosette vine scroll on deep indigo and brick tones, flanked by multiple fine floral guard stripes. Color Palette: 100% natural vegetable/mineral dyes, including madder (terracotta/brick reds and blush tones), indigo (navy and soft light blues), celadon green, soft sage, walnut brown, and unbleached ivory. Condition: Even, honest low pile consistent with a late 19th-century workshop carpet. The selvedges and ends show minor vintage wear, but the foundation remains intact and stable without visible extensive dry rot, large patches, or heavy recoloring.
