This exceptional antique Azerbaijan Bag Soumak kilim is a striking example of traditional Caucasian flat-weave artistry, combining bold geometric rhythm with refined colorwork.

In an era long past, these artisans relied on locally-sourced materials—wool from their herds and vegetable or natural dyes extracted from the bountiful land surrounding them. The result was a symphony of colors and patterns that reflected the unique identity of each tribe.
This wonderful Art Deco carpet was made in China, circa 1910s or 1920's. Walter Nichols was great American rug producer (the Art Deco rugs which he did not originate them) in Tientsin. The rugs made of wool and silk with bold vibrant colors and the pattern are pictorial scenes and trees, birds, clouds, mountains, dragons, butterfly and flowers. The production of Art Deco rugs started from 1910s-1950s and mostly with western influence.
This charming antique Oushak rug is a fine example of early 20th-century Anatolian village weaving. The design is centered around a large geometric lozenge medallion set within a warm salmon-rose field, surrounded by soft ivory spandrels and framed by an elegant border of stylized rosettes and geometric floral motifs.
The rug displays the highly desirable muted palette for which antique Oushaks are renowned. Soft shades of faded coral, rose, ivory, pale celadon, dusty blue, and warm apricot have mellowed beautifully over time, creating a refined and decorative appearance.

Beautiful handmade Persian Bakhtiari rug is in excellent condition with naturals dye. The Bakhtiari tribe, based in Chahar Mahal and Bakhtiari, is well-known for their rugs and weaving. They have been weaving rugs exported around the globe since the early 19th century.
